Gokasho is a satoyama that produced Omi merchants in the country of Omi.

With Mt. Kinugasa in the background, this building borders on the sacred precincts and is located at the foot of the entrance to Kannonshoji Temple, the 32nd temple in Saigoku. The 150-year-old traditional house was once the residence of a village doctor.

The house was quietly returning to the earth, covered as if by protective groves and funaitabe fences, during the years when no one was there.

Through the dust, we found a signboard of "Juseimaru", and with the cooperation of many people, we were able to renovate it and prepare a clean place where you can touch the beauty of the land of Omi.

Light the moss-covered lanterns again.

We would be delighted if you could come and look forward to such a quiet time when the deep green of the garden melts into the blue sky.
